Dr. Jones obtained his B.A. (Hons) from the University of Oxford, UK and his Ph.D. (2001) from the University of Cambridge, UK (with Dr Malcolm Gerloch (retired) and Dr Melinda Duer). During his Ph.D. he spent six months working with Dr Elmars Krausz at the Australian National University in Canberra. He undertook postdoctoral research at the National Renewable Energy Lab in Golden, Colorado from 2002-2005. During the period 2006-2009 he pursued further postdoctoral studies with Prof. Greg Scholes in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Toronto.
